Responsibility

Strong Values Build Strong Performance

We believe that investing responsibly is essential to building long-term relationships, generating attractive returns, and mitigating risk.

We have distinct responsibilities to our clients, sponsors, employees, and the communities where we live, work, and invest. We believe our focus on the middle market and emphasis on business building is strongly aligned with responsible investing principles.

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG): For more than two decades, we have considered ESG factors integral to assessing investment risk and potential value drivers. Across our strategies, these factors have been formally incorporated into our investment evaluation and monitoring processes to ensure we are systematically accounting for and monitoring ESG-related considerations.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): To address the lack of diversity in the private equity market, Apogem launched its Social Advancement strategy in 2021, which focuses on supporting diverse managers raising their first or second fund. This strategy is led by our diverse, long-tenured private equity team and dedicated investment committee, reflecting Apogem’s longstanding commitment to diversity.

Community Involvement: We recognize the importance of giving back to the community. Throughout our histories, we have made a difference through partnerships with numerous organizations, including Year Up, EPIC Academy, Cradles to Crayons, and Partnership for the Future, and have partnered with the New York Life Foundation on multiple charitable giving campaigns.
